According to Articles VI/3 and VI/5 of the Constitution the term for new Board members is six years and will begin on the
first day of January in the year following the election (1 January 2008 in this case); however, the existing Officers
will remain in their posts until the end of the first new Board meeting, when the election of the new Officers will
take place.
COMPUMAG 2011 Sydney
The Board of the International Compumag Society, at its meeting during COMUPMAG Aachen, awarded the organisation of COMPUMAG 2011
to Sydney, Australia. The conference will be co-chaired by Prof. J.G. Zhu (University of Technology, Sydney), Prof. J.W. Lu (Griffith
University) and Prof. A. Nafalski (South Australia University). The proposed venue is the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.

International Compumag Society (ICS) is a democratic, unincorporated, non-profit
making association. The Objectives of the International Compumag Society are to
serve its members in:
-
the advancement and dissemination of knowledge about the
application of computer methods to field problems having significant electric,
magnetic or electromagnetic components;
- the encouragement of improvements in methods for field computation as
defined in (a) and in their verification and validation; and
- the
promotion of information exchange among members of the Society by any
appropriate means of communication (e.g. conferences, workshops, electronic
forums, etc.)
